These Terms of Service (‘Terms’) govern your access to and use of lessonbid.co.uk. Please therefore ensure you read these Terms carefully before using the site. In using the site and/or creating an account, you agree to accept and be bound by these Terms.
You must be registered on www.lessonbid.co.uk in order to request the services of an Instructor if you are a Student or to offer your services to a Student as an Instructor. Registration is free for both, however Instructors will need to pay a fee to upgrade their account to Active Bidder state in order to place a Lesson Bid.
No payments are made through the website, this is agreed by the Student and Instructor. LessonBid takes no responsibility for ensuring services received are paid by the Student.
By registering as a member on lessonbid.co.uk, you may receive newsletters and other communications via email. See the below section on ‘Communications from the site’.
In order to use LessonBid, Users will need to register for an account, provide accurate and complete information, and ensure their account details are updated. Both Students and Instructors will undergo the same account registration process.
Each account must be a personal account, but Users may trade as a sole trader, company or any other legal entity (whether incorporated or unincorporated). However Users can’t register for more than one account.
LessonBid reserve the right to restrict your access, temporarily or indefinitely block your account, stop any Lesson Requests you have in progress, warn other Students and Instructors of your actions or issue you a warning if:
you are in breach of these terms and conditions
we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us
we believe that your actions may cause any loss or liability to or Users or to us
Users are solely responsible for any activity that occurs on their account, unless it is a result of actions beyond their contract (such as hacking or if someone steals their password when they have taken reasonable steps to keep it secure). Users may never use another person’s user account or registration information for the website.
We will occasionally send our members information on products, services, special deals and promotions. If you do not wish to receive these types of communications you can opt out of receiving them by accessing your dashboard and going to ‘Update Notifications’ or by following the instructors included in the newsletter or communication.
When a successful Instructor has been selected for a Lesson Request and that first lesson between the Student and Instructor has been completed then the Student will be asked to provide both qualitative feedback and a rating from 1 – 5 for the Instructor. This rating will help influence the Instructors ranking on LessonBid.
The feedback should be completed honestly. Users must not falsify feedback, manipulate or coerce another User by threatening negative feedback or offer incentives in exchange for feedback. Any attempts of this nature should be reported immediately to LessonBid.
Any feedback comments that are reported to us as defamatory, abusive or offensive will be reviewed and may be removed at our discretion.
LessonBid does not charge a fee to the student. Only an Instructor will be required to pay a fee in order to submit a Lesson Bid.
The fee is £5.99 a month and is paid through PayPal on a subscription basis. There are no contracts and cancelation of payment can be requested at any point.
